« Welcome 8th Subcircuit Residents »
It
has been an honor for me to practice law in the city of Chicago for the past 27 years. Throughout my career, I have gained
a wealth of experience in a wide variety of civil litigation matters and have been enriched by the people and circumstances
that I have encountered.
My bid for Democratic judge for the 8th Subcircuit is the pinnacle of my legal career
as well as my opportunity to give back to the legal community which has so rewarded me over the past 27 years. I believe that
my rather distinct legal experience has afforded me an unusual and beneficial perspective and makes me uniquely qualified
for the office of judge. My qualifications for judge include:
» 27 Years of Courtroom Experience
Specialized in all areas of personal injury litigation including:
• Catastrophic personal injuries on behalf of injured clients
• Lemon
Law and Warranty lawsuits
• Complex and hotly contested courtroom issues
» Represented Both Plaintiffs and Defendants
Represented both injured individuals and large multinational corporations in the trial and trial preparation of hundreds
of cases involving complex legal and factual issues. Recent verdicts include:
• $3.3M
recovery for a man who suffered the partial loss of 4 fingers
• $2M recovery for a child
who lost vision in one eye
» Presented
(Argued) Appeals in the Illinois Supreme Court, Illinois Appellate Courts and Federal Appellate Courts
Appellate
work includes briefing and arguing numerous appeals which resulted in over 20 reported decisions either establishing new Illinois
law and/or affirming existing Illinois law.
